Novator Solutions Participated in Viking Roost Electronic Warfare Day

Novator Solutions exhibited and participated in the Association of Old Crows (AOC) theme day “Electronic Warfare” arranged by the Viking Roost Chapter at the Saab AB site in Järfälla, Stockholm, Sweden.

Many interesting presentations about the status as well as a glance into future technology and applications. One main thing expressed at the Electronic Warfare day, was the desire to cover wider bands and higher frequencies.

Novator Solutions displayed it product segments of Channelizers and Wideband Recorders at the exhibition. Many interesting discussions with inputs from customers, researchers and end users that Novator Solutions will bring into the next generation of products.

Customers found the capability of channelization on wideband (765 MHz) capability to be very interesting, Furthermore the news of the development of Novator Solutions new generation of NC-10 USRP-based Channelizer was especially well received.

It is commonly known that man-portable direction finding (DF) capability has become operational in some forces. The USRP based NC-10 Channelizers with its’ 4 x 80 MHz time-stamped and phase coherent data is enabling portable DF capability.

National Instruments USRP 2995 has the following features

  • 4 independently tunable RX channels, each with 80 MHz of instantaneous bandwidth; integrated GPSDO
  • Seamless host and FPGA programming with LabVIEW and the LabVIEW FPGA Module
  • High-performance two-stage superheterodyne front end covering 10 MHz to 6 GHz
  • Capable of sharing LOs between multiple channels or devices for phase-aligned operation
  • DSP-focused Xilinx Kintex-7 410T FPGA
  • High-speed, low-latency PCI Express x4, 800 MB/s connection to the host

USRP Electrical Spec

  • Input Voltage: 9 – 16 VDC

Presentation of the new USRP-based NC-10 at NIWeek and Electronic Warfare Europe

Novator Solutions will launch the new USRP-based NC-10 Channelizer on NIWeek by the end of May. The USRP NC-10 Channelizer will also be displayed at the Electronic Warfare Week in London beginning of June (https://www.eweurope.com/).

The current version of the NC-10 is a FPGA-based Channelizer capable of extracting up to 1024 channels in real time. The Channelizer is powered by ChannelCore Flex from RFEL.
